Get to the Mountain & Around Town with ESTA

After you arrive in Mammoth, leave your car parked and get to the ski slopes easily thanks to the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA). This convenient bus service offers complimentary transportation to each of our mountain base lodges and all around the town of Mammoth Lakes.

It gets even easier. Download the free Swiftly mobile app, which offers real-time bus tracking and up-to-the-minute arrival/departure times for all bus routes, so you know exactly when your ride is coming.

Around Town

Town Trolley  |  Operates Every 30 Minutes from 7AM–10PM

Connects with the Main Lodge Shuttle in The Village for shuttle service up to Main Lodge.

Offers service throughout town, including stops at Canyon Lodge, Juniper Springs Resort and The Village. Departs Snowcreek Athletic Club starting at 7AM, with the last departure from The Village at 9:35PM.  From 7:20AM to 4:50PM, passengers can easily transfer to the Main Lodge Shuttle for transportation up to the ski area.

Purple Line  | Operates Every 30 minutes from 7AM–6PM 

Offers service between downtown and The Village at Mammoth, with stops also at the RV park,  Welcome Center and Cerro Coso Community College. Departs Vons supermarket starting at 7AM, with the last departure at 5:30PM.

Old Mammoth Road Area  |  Limited Service

This new service provides 3 morning and afternoon runs along the Old Mammoth Road area with the opportunity to connect to the Purple, Red, and Green Lines. In addition, 2 of the morning runs continue on to The Village.

Dial-a-Ride  |  Operates Weekdays 8AM–5PM (Limited Service 11:45AM–3PM)

This door-to-door route operates year-round for the general public. ADA Complementary Paratransit service is a available during periods when fixed route is operating, outside of the times Dial-a-Ride times. Depending on the zone, the ride can cost $2.40–$4.20.

To Main Lodge

Main Lodge Shuttle  |  Operates Every 30 Minutes from 7:20AM–8:50AM, Bike Park shuttle runs from 9:00AM–5:30PM leaving every 15 minutes.

Connects with the Town Trolley in The Village for shuttle service up to Main Lodge.

Offers shuttle service between The Village and Main Lodge for transportation to the ski area. Departs stop #90 on Canyon Lodge Blvd. in The Village at 7:20am, 7:50, 8:20 and 8:50.



WINTER TRANSIT

Shuttle service along the winter transit routes has concluded for the winter season.

To Main Lodge

Red Line  |  Operates Every 20 Minutes from 7AM–5:30PM

Typically runs from opening day of the winter season through mid-April.

Offers service along Old Mammoth Rd and Main Street. Departs the Snowcreek Athletic Club starting at 7AM, with the last departure from Main Lodge at 5:30PM. Departs Main Lodge every :10, :30 and :50 past the hour.

Blue Line  |  Operates Every 15 Minutes from 7:05AM–5:20PM

Only runs when Canyon Lodge is open, typically mid-December through mid-April.

Offers service between The Village at Mammoth and Canyon Lodge. Departs The Village starting at 7:05AM, with the last departure from Canyon Lodge at 5:10PM. Departs Canyon every :10, :25, :40 and:55 past the hour.

Offers service between The Village at Mammoth and Eagle Lodge / Juniper Springs Resort traveling along Lake Mary Rd, Kelly Rd and Majestic Pines Rd. Departs Juniper Springs Resort starting at 7:30AM, with the last departure at 5:40PM. Departs Juniper every :10, :25, :40 and :55 past the hour.

Orange Line  |  Operates Every 30 Minutes from 8:30AM–5:15PM

Only runs when the Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center is open, typically mid-December through mid-April.

Offers service between The Village at Mammoth and Tamarack Lodge and Cross Country Ski Center. Departs The Village starting at 8:30AM, with the last departure from Tamarack Lodge at 5:15PM. Departs Tamarack Lodge every :15 and :45 past the hour.

Around Town

Purple Line  |  Night Trolley  |  Old Mammoth Road  |  Dial-a-Ride

ESTA also makes it easy for you to get around town during the day and into the early morning hours, with the Night Trolley offering service until 2AM.
